Privacy Policy

Your data stays under your control.

Remindr is privacy-first and local-first. We process only what is necessary to provide meeting memory features and extension-to-desktop integration.

Last updated: February 25, 2026

Core principles

Local-first by default

Meeting data is processed locally whenever possible, with optional cloud features controlled by you.

Protected transport and storage

Sensitive data paths use encryption and strict validation between extension and desktop app.

Data minimization

We only process the minimum technical and meeting data required for the feature to work.

No sale of user data

We do not sell user data and we do not transfer it for unrelated advertising purposes.

User control first

You can disable features, clear stored settings, and uninstall at any time.

Data we process

Depending on enabled features, we may process the following categories:

  • Meeting metadata such as meeting ID, title, platform source, and meeting URL/domain.
  • Participant signals from the meeting page, such as display name, avatar URL, join/leave events, and speaking state.
  • Extension preferences such as auto-start and speaker sync options.
  • Technical connection status and error diagnostics required for reliability and debugging.

How we use this data

  • To connect browser meeting events with the local Remindr desktop app via Native Messaging.
  • To detect meeting lifecycle events (started, heartbeat, ended) in supported platforms.
  • To synchronize participant context and speaking signals for better memory organization.
  • To store your extension preferences and keep expected behavior across sessions.

Data we do not collect

The extension is not designed to collect sensitive categories unrelated to meeting integration.

  • Health and medical information
  • Payment card or financial account information
  • Passwords, authentication secrets, or PIN data
  • Personal chats, emails, or direct messages outside supported meeting surfaces
  • Precise geolocation data

Your control and rights

You can disable extension features, uninstall the extension, clear browser storage, and remove local app data at any time. You can also contact us to request clarification about data handling.
